Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sinan KALKAN

He graduated from Karadeniz Technical University, Fatih Faculty of Education, Department of Education for the Mentally Disabled in 2003. He served as a teacher and administrator in institutions affiliated with the Ministry of National Education until 2012. He completed his first Master’s degree in the Adult Education Graduate Program at Ankara University, Institute of Educational Sciences in 2007, and his second Master’s degree in the Education for the Mentally Disabled Program at Gazi University, Institute of Educational Sciences in 2009. Having completed his doctoral studies in the same program at Gazi University in 2019, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kalkan currently continues his academic career as an Associate Professor in the Department of Special Education at Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Faculty of Education.

Deputy Director

Asst. Prof. Dr. Yahya Han ERBAŞ

He received his Bachelor’s degree in Primary School Teaching from Cumhuriyet University, Faculty of Education in 2005. He worked as a classroom teacher in multigrade classrooms in the Southeastern Anatolia region of Turkey for over a year. He was awarded a scholarship by the Ministry of National Education (MEB) under Law No. 1416 to pursue graduate studies in the United States. He completed his Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction (Elementary Education) at Indiana University, School of Education in 2011, and his PhD in Literacy, Culture, and Language Education at the same university in 2017. His research focuses on multicultural education, teacher training, qualitative research, and literacy education. He returned to Turkey in 2018 and joined the Department of Basic Education at Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University. Since February 2020, he has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Philosophical, Social, and Historical Foundations of Education within the Department of Educational Sciences.
