Areas of Activity of the Center

About Us

The purpose of the Center is to conduct theoretical and applied research at national and international levels regarding the rights-based promotion, protection, implementation, and development of disability through an interdisciplinary approach. The Center aims to collect information and documents, monitor processes, establish collaborations, create information networks, and engage in academic activities. Furthermore, it provides essential services to children with disabilities living in the province of Canakkale, as well as to their families and teachers, in the areas they require.


Fields of Activity of the Center

ARTICLE 6 – (1) The fields of activity of the Center are as follows:

  • a) Proposing the procurement of necessary educational materials and various equipment to conduct research activities within the practice unit established under the Center,

  • b) Ensuring the training of academic and auxiliary personnel who will take part in research activities in the field of special education,

  • c) Employing teachers and assistant teachers in the practice unit affiliated with the Center, and facilitating the domestic and international training of qualified personnel when necessary,

  • ç) Supporting and enhancing the thesis studies and scientific research of undergraduate and graduate students in various departments of the Faculty of Education,

  • d) Planning proposed projects to ensure they reach different disciplines and carrying out the necessary work to implement them,

  • e) Organizing national and international scientific meetings such as congresses, conferences, symposia, seminars, and special events in its field of study, and issuing certificates of participation when required,

  • f) Providing the necessary environment to foster cooperation between the University and the community in the field of special education,

  • g) Collaborating with domestic and international organizations and facilitating the exchange of information and personnel within its areas of study,

  • ğ) Announcing project results and findings to the public through technical reports, conference papers, scientific articles, popular publications, and other media tools, while encouraging domestic and international participation,

  • h) Performing other duties assigned by the Rectorate and other authorized bodies of the University that align with the Center's objectives.
